The City of Palos Verdes Estates and Athens Services hosted its annual FREE shredding and e-waste collection event.
Participants must stay inside their vehicle at all times.
Shredding documents and e-waste should be placed in the trunk of your vehicle for collection.
Residents may bring up to three banker size boxes for shredding per household.
Remove all plastic binders and binder clips.
Palos Verdes Estates residents only. Please be sure to bring proof of residency.

TV’s, Printers, DVD players, Computers, Etc.
NOT ACCEPTABLE
No hazardous waste (such as paint, oil, light bulbs, etc.) was accepted.
Athens’ compost is a blend of organics material including a mix of green waste, wood waste, and food scraps.* Our compost is OMRI Listed® and licensed by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. *May contain small particles of glass.

Participation in the event and all items accepted are at your own risk. It is the attendees’ responsibility to practice safe lifting and take all protective measures to guard against injury or any other loss.
Bulky Waste includes large items such as water heaters, furnaces, mattresses, couches, appliances, and patio furniture. Items must be placed curbside (not in the street).
E-waste includes TVs, computers, printers, monitors, microwaves, and other electronics. Visit the E-waste webpage for more information.
Note: Hazardous waste, batteries and fluorescent lights are accepted at the first-quarter HHW event only. Visit the Used Oil and Household Hazardous Waste webpage for disposal options.
