What is the Capital Improvements Program (CIP)?

Palos Verdes Estates' Capital Improvement Program lays out the 5-year  (Fiscal Year 2025-26 through Fiscal Year 2029-30) plan for the financing, scheduling, and maintenance of the City's major public assets. PVE's infrastructure - including but not limited to, our streets, sewers, parks, and facilities - is the physical foundation of our community. The CIP serves as the blueprint for how the City will maintain, protect, and improve, both the functions and ascetics of our systems. Capital planning allows for community leaders to acquire necessary resources gradually, as opposed to reacting to problems haphazardly. Whether its repaving an old road, or improving storm drainage to protect our coastal environment, the Capital Improvements Program ensures Palos Verdes Estates remains efficient and prepared for the future.
