Boy Scouts Troop 134 and Centenarians Recognized at 2/28/17 City Council Meeting

At the February 28, 2017 City Council meeting, Boy Scouts Troop 134 was recognized by the Mayor and City Council and invited to lead the flag salute. All members of Troop 134 are currently working on their Citizenship in the Community merit badge, which is one of the required merit badges for the rank of Eagle Scout.

Boy Scouts Troop 134 include:

  • Levi Hecker – Scout
  • Magnus Frandsen – Scout
  • Brevin Anvaripour - Tenderfoot
  • Owen Chen – Tenderfoot
  • Daniel Ansarah – 1st Class
  • Bradley Kakazu – 1st Class
  • Spencer Lam – 1st Class
  • Andrew Nixon – 1st Class
  • Zack Kakazu – Star Scout
  • Chandler Trivell – Star Scout
  • Noah Hecker – Life Scout

Boy Scouts Troop 134 contributes hundreds of volunteer hours to various projects in the community such as improving, painting, and repairing public use facilities including schools, church properties, and parks.

In addition, centenarian (person who is one hundred or more years old) residents were recognized.

  • Reuben Klammer, who will be turning 100 in September 2017
  • Mary Bernatz, who will be turning 101 in April 2017
  • Betty Kessler, who will be turning 103 in March 2017
