PVE Achieves Gold Tier Level in Energy Leader Program

Post Date:02/14/2017 9:00 PM

As an update to the Southern California Edison (SCE) Energy Leader Partnership (ELP) with the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG), the City of Palos Verdes Estates has achieved the Gold tier level in the Energy Leader Program.  Only cities that have achieved energy savings of 10% or more, and completed other required community activities qualify at the Gold tier level.  At the Gold level future energy efficiency qualified projects in the City of Palos Verdes Estates will receive incentives at $0.09 per kWh saved over and above the regular SCE financial incentives.

The ELP program is a tiered system providing increased incentives as cities complete more energy efficiency projects. Cities also work with their community to satisfy outreach and information dissemination criteria to further move up the tier levels. At the highest level of Platinum, a city can earn as much as 18 cents per kWh over and above the current SCE incentive.
