Triangle Landscaping Project

Post Date:10/03/2016 4:38 PM

Many are wondering why the grass area in the PVDW/PVDN Triangle has been painted blue.  The reason is the City is preparing to embark on re-landscaping The Triangle.  For ease of removing the dead sod, the area was watered and in doing so it turned colors to what currently exists.  The City did not re-dye the sod nor plans to.  The re-landscaping will include installation of drought tolerant plantings and upgrades to the 911 Memorial flag poles.  The first order of work being the removal of the dead sod and placement of wood chips during the month of October to improve the general aesthetics.  Subsequently, specifications will be prepared for the flag pole upgrades and drip irrigation and planting plans will be developed.  This work will take place in phases over the next several months and into next spring.
